Company COMTEC S.A. produces, packs and trades the P.D.O. (Protected Designation of Origin) Certified High Quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil  ELLAIA from the region Kissamos-Kolimvari on the Island of Crete.

Historical sources report from Minoan times (1.600 B.C.) for the cultivation of olive tree and the production of olive oil on the island of Crete.

Greek traditional Extra Virgin Olive Oil ELLAIA is produced in limited quantities, by specifically chosen varieties of olives, which are collected from specially selected olive trees, cultivated with the traditional way, as for thousands years now.

Olive oil ELLAIA is mainly an exporting product, and is produced only with mechanical methods and the system of “cold extraction process”, which means that the temperature of the olive pulp, during the production process, does not exceed the 27 degrees of Celsius.

The brine of Mediterranean sea, the sun of Crete, but above all the creative spirit of the citizens of Crete, in combination with the thousands of years of tradition, offer to you the olive oil  ELLAIA,  as a basic component of Mediterranean Diet, which has been proved so beneficial for the human health through hundreds of scientific studies.
